ADEGO Terms and Conditions
Last updated: November 21, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to ADEGO ("we," "us," "our," "ADEGO"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ADEGO mobile application and website (adego.app), including our local delivery service, diaspora subscription service, and marketplace (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who Can Use ADEGO
You must be at least 18 years old to create an ADEGO account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (name, email, phone number, and any other details) is accurate and up to date.
3. Our Services
3.1 Local Delivery
ADEGO provides on-demand delivery of goods, packages, and groceries within our current coverage areas. Coverage begins in Yaoundé, expanding to additional cities as our service grows. Current coverage areas are always listed in the app.
3.2 Diaspora Subscriptions
ADEGO allows customers living outside Cameroon to subscribe to recurring care packages delivered to family members within Cameroon. Subscription tiers, pricing, and included services are described on our Diaspora page and within the app, and may be updated from time to time.
3.3 Marketplace
ADEGO's marketplace connects customers with local shops and vendors for browsing and ordering goods, fulfilled through our delivery network.
4. Delivery Times
We aim to deliver same-day for orders placed before 2:00 PM local time. Orders placed after 2:00 PM will typically be delivered the following day. These are estimates, not guarantees — actual delivery times may vary due to traffic, weather, location accessibility, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5. Placing and Cancelling Orders
5.1 Placing an Order
Orders are placed through the ADEGO app by providing pickup and delivery details, selecting your preferred delivery time, and confirming payment.
5.2 Cancellation
You may cancel an order within 60 minutes of placing it, using the countdown timer displayed on your order screen. Orders cancelled before a rider has picked up your package may be eligible for a full refund to your ADEGO Wallet, minus any applicable cancellation fee. Orders cancelled after pickup are not eligible for a refund, as delivery costs have already been incurred.
6. Prohibited Items
You may not use ADEGO to send or receive the following:
- Illegal substances or contraband
- Weapons of any kind
- Hazardous or flammable materials without proper labeling and packaging
- Perishable food without appropriate labeling and packaging
- Live animals (frozen or otherwise properly processed meat and poultry are accepted)
- Cash or valuables above 50,000 FCFA (this limit is an ADEGO risk-management policy, as domestic courier deliveries are not insured against loss of cash)
- Any item prohibited under the laws of Cameroon, including narcotics, counterfeit goods, and CITES-listed wildlife products
ADEGO reserves the right to refuse, inspect, or cancel any order suspected of containing prohibited items, without liability to the customer.
7. Payment
7.1 Accepted Payment Methods
For local orders within Cameroon, ADEGO accepts cash on pickup/delivery, ADEGO Wallet, and Mobile Money (MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money). For diaspora subscriptions and other international payments, ADEGO accepts PayPal and Stripe.
7.2 ADEGO Wallet
Your ADEGO Wallet allows you to store funds for use within the app. Refunds are credited to your Wallet balance unless otherwise stated.
7.3 Diaspora Subscription Billing
Diaspora subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. You may cancel, pause, or change your plan at any time from your account settings; changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle unless otherwise specified.
8. Refunds
Approved refunds are credited to your ADEGO Wallet within 3–5 business days of approval. For claims involving lost, damaged, or incorrect items, our team will investigate and respond within 5–7 business days of your report. Refund eligibility is determined by ADEGO based on the circumstances of each case.
9. Rider and Delivery Partner Conduct
ADEGO strives to ensure all delivery partners conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. If you experience any concerning behavior from a rider, please report it immediately through our support channels. ADEGO takes all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
ADEGO reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Please note that once an account is deleted, the associated email address may not be used to create a new account in the future.
11. Limitation of Liability
ADEGO is not liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic conditions, weather events, incorrect information provided by the customer, or third-party service disruptions. Our liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the value of the order in question.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with Cameroonian law.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us via WhatsApp through the app, or reach out to our support team directly.
